Water Hyacinth: Beauty, Challenge, and Opportunity

The beauty of water hyacinth belies its dual nature. In 2021, I moved to Bangalore and joined a water conservation group, where I discovered how this plant invades lakes, destroying habitats. Yet, through stories from Bihar and my own experiments, I’ve learned its untapped potential—from cleaning polluted waters to becoming fuel and enriching compost. This journey has reshaped my perspective on waste and sustainability.
